Development of Fat Embolism - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This full color custom medical exhibit starts with an orientation for a long bone followed by the long bone enlarged and cut so that the yellow marrow can be seen within the shaft. The next image zooms in further on the marrow and the vessels that pass through it. A similar image shows how a fracture to the bone can rupture the vessels and allow fat deposits to enter the vessels. A final overall view of the circulatory system shows how the emboli can travel to the heart and lungs.
